In the Carpathians, rescuers are looking for two tourists

Two tourists got lost during the descent from the Hoverla in Transcarpathia.

According to the rescuers, the incident occurred during a descent from the Hoverla to the Kozmeshchyk valley in Rakhiv district in the evening of Thursday, February 28. A man and a woman got lost, the woman was injured.

According to preliminary data, they are residents of Odesa.

As of 6:00 on March 1, rescuers managed to contact the tourists.

Search and rescue operations are hindered due to avalanche hazard, steep slopes, snow cover freezing and lack of mobile phone service in the search area.

Recall that on February 22, a group of eight tourists got stuck on the Mount Pip Ivan. Two tourists died as a result of frostbite.
