“Uzhgorod Wolves” are the hockey champions of the Transcarpathia

Today, the final of the 2018-2019 hockey championship of the region took place in the "Ice Land" ice arena. Four teams participated in it: "Uzhgorod Wolves", "Synevyr", "Spartak", "Shakhta Panthers". 

First, the matches for the bronze medals took place. "Synevyr" defeated "Spartak" with a score of 4:3 and won the third place. The final match was no less emotional, but the outcome was predictable already in the first period. "Shakhta Panthers" scored only one goal in the last period, the final score was 5:1 and the "Uzhgorod Wolves" won. After the matches, the awarding of winners and participants of the competition took place, which was attended, in particular, by the deputy mayor of Uzhgorod Oleksandr Bilak, the head of youth and sports department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vitaliy Erfan, the president of the Hockey Federation of Transcarpathia Vasyl Yabrik. Oleksandr Bilak congratulated everyone on behalf of the mayor, Bohdan Andriyiv, thanked, in particular, the organizers for restoration of the hockey traditions in the region, wished them further success.

Oleksandr Bilak, together with other honorary guests, gave athletes awards and presents. The winners of this season in the various nominations were: "Best striker" – Victor Migalysko ("Spartak"); "Best scorer" – Oleksandr Knyazev ("Uzhgorod Wolves"); "Best defender" – Mykola Miklovtsi ("Synevyr"); "Best goalkeeper "- Fedir Shandor ("Shakhta Panthers").

The athletes received medals and cups. The sporting event was held with the support of the Uzhgorod City Council, the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Transcarpathian Regional Hockey Federation, patrons.
