On Saturday, January 12, Transcarpathian singers will sing one of the most famous Ukrainian Christmas carols "New Joy" with all of Ukraine. 3 years ago, it was selected for the all-Ukrainian action of concurrent singing by the organizers of the All-Ukrainian festival of Nativity plays "Vertep-Fest", which takes place in Kharkiv on the eve of the Old New Year.
This year the event will cover 30 cities and villages of Ukraine and five countries – Great Britain, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland and Germany.
At 14.30, the folk amateur choir "Astra" of the Uzhgorod Children’s Art School teachers will perform the carol on Narodna square.
Uzhgorod residents and guests are invited to join the singing.
