Presidential election 2019: Election campaign is starting in Ukraine

The elections are scheduled for March 31 of the next year.

Today, December 31, the presidential election campaign starts in Ukraine. The elections are scheduled for March 31, 2019, the Liga.News informs

From this day until February 3, 2019, candidates will be able to register with the CEC to participate in the elections. To do this, they need to make a deposit in the amount of UAH 2.5 million. The deposit is not refuned in case of loss.

Election campaigning is allowed to be conducted from the day after the presidential candidate’s registration.

The current president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, can also take part in the elections, but he has not officially announced it yet.

The voting will take place on March 31, 2019 from 8:00 to 20:00.
