Monument to the victims of the Holodomor in Ukraine was opened in the Hungarian city of Szeged (PHOTOS)

The Honorary Consulate of Szeged in the Szeged-Csanad Diocese, the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Szeged and the National Self-Government of Szeged held an opening ceremony of the monument to the victims of the 1932-1933 Holodomor in Ukraine.

The author of the monument is famous Transcarpathian sculptor Mykhailo Kolodko.

On the pedestal of the monument, there is the inscription:

"To the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor organized by the Soviet regime. May the millions of innocent victims of genocide committed against Ukrainian people be always remembered."
