In Slovakia, smugglers from Transcarpathia were convicted and expelled from the country

By the decision of the court, the men were banned from Slovakia for 2 years, the Mukachevo.net reported.

According to one of the Slovak publications, the two men were caught last Monday. They illegally crossed the state border and were walking along one of the streets of the city of Ulic, in the district of Snin.

The police stopped them and checked their backpacks. They found 281 packs of cigarettes with Ukrainian excise stamps. The customs value of goods amounted to 168.6 euros, financial losses amounted to 822.97 euros.

The young people were taken to the police.

Subsequently, the court found them guilty and sentenced them to 12 months of imprisonment with 18 months probation and prohibition to visit the Slovak Republic for 2 years.

The men agreed with the court ruling.
