Transcarpathian rescuers destroyed a mortar shell

On October 12, the bomb squad of the special purpose emergency and rescue detachment removed and destroyed an 82 mm mortar shell of the Second World War period.

It was found by a local resident outside the village of Demechi, Uzhgorod district, while grazing cattle in the field. He immediately reported it to the Rescue Service.   

Transcarpathian rescuers urge citizens to observe safety rules in the event of detecting explosive objects. It should be remembered that old ammunition still poses a threat to people. Over time, it becomes even more dangerous due to the impact of environment. It must be disposed of only by specialists.
