The foreigners, who ran over a girl near Uzhgorod, were detained at the border (PHOTOS)

As we reported, the police in Transcarpathia were looking for a murderer, who had hit a 16-year-old girl and fled from the scene of the accident. 

 Immediately after the accident, law enforcement officers send the description of the suspects to all border crossing points.

 The border guards tightened the control, and in 2 hours a Mercedes with the suspects was detected at the checkpoint "Tisa".

After their detention it became known that they were citizens of Germany and Israel. Having committed the accident, they changed the car and tried to leave Ukraine.

After the relevant procedural documents were drawn up, the foreigners left the checkpoint accompanied by an investigation team of the National Police.

The driver immediately fled from the scene of the accident.  It is known that three girls were crossing the street, two of them managed to miraculously avoid the collision.

The man who was driving the car is facing imprisonment for a term of 3 to 8 years with the deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to 3 years.

He was arrested in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine and put in a temporary holding facility.
