On Sunday, September 2, the city of Rakhiv will host the XVII Gastronomic Festival-Fair "Hutsul Bryndzya".
The largest festival of the region this year will please guests with interesting features – competition for the best Hutsul sheep bryndzya, master classes making of non-traditional dishes with bryndzya from Lviv chefs, presentation of the products from the Association of producers of traditional Carpathian highland cheeses.
The festival starts at 8.00 with opeining of the exhibitions of folk artists and fair and sale of sheep products (Burkut st., the "Burkut" amphitheater). At 11:00, festive procession will march from Bohdan Khmelnytsky street to the amphitheater, where the opening ceremony of the festival-fair will take place. Traditionally, there will be the inflammation of the bonfire, trembita, mandolin and drymba melodies. Also the participants and guests, will meet the shepherds returning from the pastures.
The concert program of the festival will feature People’s Artists of Ukraine Victor Pavlik and Stepan Giga, Honored Artist of Ukraine Pavel Doskoch and other Ukrainian pop stars.
The festival fascinates with its authenticity, demonstrates the traditions of Hutsuls, their craft, life and hospitality. The gourmet holiday in Rakhiv featuring an eventful program and plenty of locations will last until late at night.
