As we reported, the Uzhgorod Vodokanal announced major shutdown of water supply for Wednesday, August 29. The reason is planned repair work.
The list of streets and the estimated time without water supply was posted HERE.
And now Uzhgorod City Council informs that water supply may also be interrupted in the central part of the city:
"We remind that tomorrow, on August 29, 2018, we will be carrying out planned work on replacement of shut-off valves on a 500 mm water pipe near the intersection of Ivan Franko and Mytna streets.
The work will begin on Wednesday at 7:00. On the night of Tuesday on Wednesday, at 0:00, water supply from the water intake "Mynai" will be suspended.
The water supply of the entire left bank part of the city (including the adjacent settlements and settlements of the Korytnyany village council) will be shut down.
There will also be no water supply in some of the right-bank part of the city. This also applies to the area on the right-bank part of the city bounded by Mytna – Sobranetska – Yenkivska streets (including Zahorska, Saltykov-Shchedrin, Ivan Franko Dovzhenko streets, Nezalezhnist embankment).
Due to unforeseen circumstances, that may arise in the process of work performance, there may be temporary interruption of water supply in the central (old) part of the city.
Water supply will be restored after completion of the work, approximately at 18:00 on August 29, 2018.
After the resumption of water supply, if possible, run water through flush tanks for its speedier clarification and do not drink raw water to its full clarification.
Administration of the MU "Vodokanal Uzhgorod" apologizes for the temporary inconvenience and thanks for understanding.
