Last weekend, the All-Ukrainian taekwondo tournament "West Pedestal" took place in Rivne. More than 300 athletes from 12 regions of Ukraine, representing 27 clubs, came to take part in the competition. Transcarpathian branch at this tournament was represented by 16 athletes.
Taekwondo fighters aged 6 to 35 years old were fighting for their awards in 5 categories. The tournament was conducted using Dae Do electronic system and electronic helmets. As a result, Transcarpathian athletes brought home 10 awards: 1 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals. The coach of the team Oleksandr Kremer is pleased with the performance of his wards at the "West open cup". The team has two more weeks to gain skills. Soon, they will be representing our region at the regular All-Ukrainian tournament "Southern Palmyra".
