At the SlobodaKult in Uzhgorod, the program for children was presented for the first time

The festival SkovorodaFest, science picnics, master classes, talks, games, cartoons, performance – all this was prepared by the organizers of the SlobodaKult forum for the youngest Uzhgorod citizens.

The events for children were held on the weekend so that more people could participate. Thus, during the festival SkovorodaFest, which was held on the territory of the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life, the children were told who Hryhoriy Skovoroda was, took part in interactive games, were taught to paint Easter eggs, pottery, etc.

During the science picnics in the "Owl’s Nest", the children participated in experiments, interactive lectures and games.

"Science picnics are one of the most popular Kharkiv projects for children. Several times a year, "picnics" take place in different places, including different holidays in parks and on the streets of the city. And also outside Kharkiv, when it is necessary to bring cool science to the villages and settlements next to the metropolis or to the Donbass," – the curator of the children’s program Irina Mahdysh explained.

There was the screening of the cartoon "Olesya in Transcarpathia", created by the children of Slobozhanshchyna, who, of course, have never been in Transcarpathia, but expressed their vision of this region.

Fashion designer, stylist Zoya Zvynyatskivska talked with teenagers about clothes, self-expression through fashion. And children from Mukachevo showed the performance, which they created in 2 weeks together with Kharkiv directors.

According to Irina Mahdysh, the curator of the children’s program, this is already the 4th forum, however, it was the first time the events for children were organized. "Children are the most flexible, but also very special audience. The nearest future of the country depends on how we interact with them. Therefore, it is important to build the right communication with children and give them the opportunity to develop", – Irina Mahdysh said.
