Over the past day, Transcarpathian policemen detained three drunk drivers, one of which resisted to the police officers

Over the past day, officers of the Transcarpathian patrol police response team documented cases of driving under the influence of alcohol in Khust, Tyachiv and Vynogradiv districts.

At night, on the streets of Vynogradiv, officers of the patrol police response team stopped a car "Audi" with foreign registration because of non-working tail lights. The car was driven by a 19-year-old local resident in the state of alcohol intoxication. The young man did not present a driver’s license and tried to resist the law enforcement officers. He was taken to the hospital for medical examination where 2.3 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood. The police drew up against the offender an administrative report resistance to police officers (Article 185 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses), for driving in the state of alcohol intoxication (Article 130 of the CAO) and for driving without a driver’s license. 

In the village of Krasna in Tyachiv district, officers of the patrol police response group stopped a car Fоrd Escоrt, which did not stop at a pedestrian crossing near the local school. The car was driven by a local pensioner who had signs of intoxication. During the medical examination in the hospital, 0.3 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood, and the policemen in the presence of witnesses drew up the appropriate report of administrative offense and seized the driver’s license.

In the town of Khust, at night, officers of the patrol police response team stopped a car Daewoo Lanos because the rear registration plate was not illuminated. The car was driven by a 26-year-old local resident in the state of alcohol intoxication. The young man also did not have a driver’s license. During the medical examination in the district hospital, 1.2 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood. The appropriate reports of admininstrative offenses were drawn up. 
The reports of administrative offenses against both offenders under Art. 130 of the CAO (Driving a vehicle by a person who is in a state of alcohol intoxication) will be forwarded to the court for making a final decision.
