Tomorrow, a large part of Uzhgorod will be left without water supply (WARNING)

The city water utility plans to carry out repair works at the pump and filtering station №1, which supplies drinking water to the central part of the city and, in part, the "Shakhta" neighbourhood, the press service of Uzhgorod City Council informs.

In connection with this, on May 2, from 9:00 to 15:00, there will be no water supply in the area of Shumna, Elektrozavodska, Pankevich, Ayvazovsky, Nasypna, Maresyev, Nakhimov, Brodlakovich, Silvay, Fogorashiy, Bercheni, Bachinsky, Drugety, Timiryazev, Olbracht, Ruska, L. Ukrainka, Pidhirna, Sobranetska (partly), Mukachivska (partly) streets, and Petofi Square.

In addition, in the event it is impossible to complete the work without lowering the pressure in the system, there may be drop in the water supply pressure from the water intake "Mynai". In this case, there will be water supply interruptions in the left-bank part of the city. Including the surrounding villages and settlements belonging to Korytnyany village council. This also applies to the area on ​​the right-bank part of the city bounded by Mytna – Sobranetska – Yenkivska streets (including Zahorska, Saltykov-Shchedrin, Ivan Franko Dovzhenko streets, Nezalezhnist embankment).

The administration of the MU "Vodokanal of  Uzhgorod" informs that water supply will be resumed immediately after completion of the repair.

Requests to consumers:

– stock up with of water;
– after water supply is resumed run water through flush tanks for its speedier clarification;
– do not use raw water until its full clarification.
