Robert Horvat presented high awards to famous Transcarpathians (PHOTOS)

The Chairman Mykhailo Rivis began the second plenary meeting of the 10th session of the Regional Council on a pleasant note, giving the floor to the member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from Transcarpathia, Robert Horvat, who, on behalf of the head of the Parliament, performed a pleasant mission – presented high rewards to famous Transcarpathians.

Addressing the regional elected representatives, the People’s Deputy said that last year, he and People’s Deputies Vasyl Petyovka and Valeriy Lunchchenko had appealed to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada with the initiative to grant awards of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to certain Transcarpathians, who make our land and our lives better

And today, according to the decree of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (No. 840-k dated December 15, 2017), four of our compatriots were awarded. Thus, for significant personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian literature and language, significant creative achievements and high professionalism, Robert Horvat presented high honors – Diplomas of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to: member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine Andriy Durunda; the main conductor of the Honored academic Transcarpathian folk choir Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk; People’s Artist of Ukraine, the artistic director of the academic chamber choir "Cantus" Omelyan Sokach, and the director of the information and analytical programs of the Transcarpathian branch of the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine Galina Yartseva.
