On Saturday, March 17, the project "Free Transcarpathian Smithy" started in the regional museum of folk architecture and rural life. The wooden house will be open every third Saturday of the month. Real blacksmiths will be showing the museum visitors how metal products were forged on the territory of the region long time ago, and even teaching them how to do it.
The first to take part in the project were Ivan Shchur and Petro Gerhardt under the supervision of Stepan Rusnak. Although there were few tourists in the Skansen yesterday, blacksmiths had a good time working in the open air. The "free smithy" opens at 14.00 every third Saturday of the month.
