The main reason for the terrible state of roads in Transcarpathia is insufficient financing at the state level

Since 2014, there has been no major repair of state public roads.

Therefore, in order to improve their technical condition, the regional elected representatives approved the decision "On the Appeal of the Transcarpathian Regional Council to Increase Financing for State Public Roads", which was sent to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

In order to relieve social tension among the population, to improve the technical condition of state roads in the region, which is the western gate for foreign economic cooperation and integration of Ukraine into the European economic space, the deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council ask to increase the amount of financing from the state road fund for major and current medium repair of state roads and to ensure timely financial revenues taking into account the seasonality of road works.

The appeal was also sent to people’s deputies of Ukraine from Transcarpathian region for their respective legislative initiative.
