Transcarpathian pyrotechnics destroyed an explosive object of the Second World War period

Yesterday, the Rescue Service "101" received a report that an object similar to an explosive had been found in a forest. The object was found by a man who was harvesting firewood in the forest, near the village of Pistryalovo in Mukachevo district. The pyrotechnics, who arrived at the spot, identified the object – it was a 152 mm artillery shell from the World War II period. It was removed and transported to a specially designated place where it was destroyed by explosion.

The State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region once again appeals to the citizens: if you find an explosive, immediately report about it by calling "101" or "102".

It is strictly forbidden to touch it, move it, pour liquid or dirt on it. Avoid any sound, light, thermal or mechanical impact on an explosive object, since practically all explosives are sensitive to such impacts.
