A batch of contraband cigarettes was found on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border (PHOTOS)

Trying to illegally move tobacco products across the border, our compatriot, in the end, lost the cigarettes and his vehicle.

During the inspection of a minibus Mercedes, which arrived today at five in the morning at the crossing point Tisa, border guards had suspicions about the vehicle. So, they decided to conduct an in-depth inspection of the minibus. As a result, border guards found 366 packs of cigarettes of various brands, which a 30-year-old Ukrainian tried to hide in the left side wall of the vehicle. Access to the tobacco products became possible after dismantling of the decorative lining of the car.

In accordance with the requirements of the current legislation, the cigarettes and the minibus Mercedes made in 2004 were seized, the total value of the confiscated items amounted to more than UAH 385 thousand.
