Officers of Irshava police department conducted an authorized search at the place of residence of a 48-year-old resident of Irshava. Criminal proceeding over this fact has been opened.
Yesterday, January 30, during a sanctioned search in the attic of a house owned by 48-year-old resident of Irshava, the police found and seized 196 dried drug-containing plants. In addition, they found on a table 500 grams of a crushed dry substance of plant origin looking like marijuana. The police seized the evidence and sent it for examination.
A criminal proceeding was opened over the accident under Part 1 of Art. 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without the purpose of sale), punishable by restraint of liberty for a term of up to three years, or imprisonment for the same term. Currently, pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
