Innovative approaches to preserving the historical and cultural heritage of Transcarpathia will be discussed in Uzhgorod (Announcement)

On December 7, at 19:00, innovative approaches in preserving the historical and cultural heritage of Transcarpathia, the use of drone technologies, as well as virtual and augmented reality will be discussed in the "Ilko" Gallery in Uzhgorod. The organizers are the Agency for the Regional Development of Transcarpathian Region in partnership with the Creative Territories Industries project.

The speakers are:

Kyryl Pokutny (Kyiv) – co-founder of the VR and AR laboratory "Sensorama Lab", the author of the project "Chernobyl 360";

Valeriy Yakovenko (Kyiv) – co-founder of the company "Drone.ua";

AR is a combination of the real world and virtual images – holograms. Here, the user can see the real environment, while the VR is a fully 3D-generated world.

Modern technological singularity has made the mankind face the problem of cognitive overload. The situation when the number of operations to be performed by a human brain exceeds its capacity. AR is the technology that can relieve the user’s brain.

The creation of 3D graphics, which transforms into a 3D model, and is further processed, provides opportunities for not only preserving cultural and historical heritage, but also an instrument for the interpretation of the new and old world.

All interested persons are invited to participate.
