As we have already reported, today, the permanent ensemble exhibition "History of Transcarpathia from the 8th century to 1919" solemnly opened in the Uzhgorod castle.
The opening was attended by the Hungarian Government Commissioner Istvan Hrezha, the State Secretary of the Hungarian Government Potap Arpad Janos, the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis, his first deputy – Yosyp Borto, the deputy head of the Regional State Administration Viktor Mykulin, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Vasyl Brenzovych, the Consul General of Hungary in Uzhgorod Joszef Bugaila, deputies of the Regional Council, academics, the public and mass media.
It should be noted that 90 percent of the exhibition is from the reserve of the Local Lore Museum. It was made possible as a result of the repairs in the premises that have not been used up to now. So now, visitors have the opportunity to see the treasures of the museum, which have not yet been exhibited.
On this video you can how the abandoned premises looked like before and what they have become thanks to desire, goodwill and enthusiasm.
