A Transcarpathian, who was crossing the road in a wrong place, was hit and killed by a car

Khust district police officers are establishing the circumstances of a night accident in the district center. A criminal proceeding over the accident has been opened

Yesterday, November 19, in the evening, the police received from doctors of the Khust district hospital a report about the hospitalization of a man with injuries after an accident. The victim died from his injuries.

The police have established the preliminary circumstances of the accident and identified the driver and the victim.

As the investigators found out, the 23-year-old driver of a Mazda 6, moving from the village of Velyatino to Khust, in the district center, near the bus station, hit a pedestrian, who was crossing the road in a wrong place. The victim was identified by the investigators. It was a 61-year-old resident of the town of Irshava. 

The police has started investigation over this incident. A criminal proceeding was opened under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the traffic rules, which caused the death of the victim). The car was taken to the impound lot of ​​the Khust police department. The investigation continues.
