In neighboring Hungary, the labor market can attract more than 100-200 thousand skilled workers

The Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH) has released the data that indicates an increase in the number of vacancies, the MyHungary.Net informs.

As of the date of the publication, there are 65,700 vacancies in different economy sectors. The growth of the national economy contributes to the growth of the number of vacancies. For example, in the second quarter of 2017, 48,460 jobs were registered in the private sector alone, which is 10,000 more jobs than that in the same period last year. In August, 134,000 jobs were offered, 91,500 of which have remained vacant.

More and more companies in different sectors of production have a shortage of skilled workers, despite lower qualification requirements. There are unfilled vacancies in trade, automotive industry, service, education and healthcare. Recently, there have been more vacancies in the public administration. The construction industry, which is currently on the rise, is ready to take up to 3000 employees. According to experts, the Hungarian labor market can attract more than 100 000-200 000 skilled workers. During the last year (as of August 31), the number of registered jobseekers has decreased by 5 per cent. The National Employment Service (NFSZ) has registered 269,300 jobseekers, which is 14,000 less than that a year ago. The number of jobseekers amounted to 4,0% of the number of able-bodied population. According to the National Employment Service (NFSZ), 146,300 jobseekers were recognized eligible for cash assistance, while 41.7% of the unemployed received help with job search.
