Transcarpathians will be able to call police and photograph criminals using “Police 102”

Law enforcers say that it is a multifunctional new software that will simplify communication between law enforcement and the community.

Today in Uzhgorod, the police presented this application. It was developed and tested in the region for more than a month. This mobile application has proven itself well in Donetsk region and is now available in Transcarpathian region too.

– The application was launched jointly with Donetsk colleagues. The software operates in accordance with the current legislation, and the application itself is the property of the National Police of Ukraine, – Roman Stefanyshyn, the Police Chief of the region, said.

"Police 102" is a free application that can be found in the Play Market and the App Store. The questionnaire is easy to fill out, and then you can use the software right away.

"Police 102" is first of all a quick report of an offense. The application allows the police to track the applicant’s location and respond to the call as quickly as possible, in addition, the user of the app can take a picture of the offender and immediately send the photo to law enforcement officers.

The app can also be used to check car license plates: just launch it and attach the picture of the vehicle’s license plate. It will immediately report if the car was stolen.
