Uzhgorod police found a man who robbed a tourist in a hostel

Officers of the Uzhgorod police department found the suspect in the theft of a phone in one of the local hostels.

 

On Monday, July 17, a resident of Lviv region called "102" and said that he had been robbed in Uzhgorod. 

The applicant explained to law enforcement officers that he was staying at one of the local hostels, and he had lost his mobile phone there.

Criminal investigators of the Uzhgorod Police Department identified and detained the man suspected of committing this crime. It turned out to be a resident of Kryviy Rih, who for some time has been living in the regional center of Transcarpathia. The 30-year-old man has already been convicted of robbery, fraud, and drug trafficking. 

The choice of pretrial restraint is being decided.

A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 185 of the CCU, that is theft. Such an offense is punishable by a fine of up to fifty non-taxable minimum incomes, or correctional labor for a term up to two years, or imprisonment for a term up to three years.
