Narcissuses have blossomed again – in the mountains! (PHOTOS)

The narcissus, that blooms in the first half of May in the famous Narcissus Valley, now covers the meadows in the mountain ranges of Velyky Bychkiv forest and hunting range on the Apetska meadow (1511) and attracts with its beauty and charming fragrance.

Also narcissuses are blooming in Rakhiv forestry, Kvasy forestry, Trostianets tract on the Brayivka meadow (1250 meters).

This Central European species is common in Alps, Balkans and in the Carpathian Mountains at altitudes of 900-2000 above sea level. Therefore, the narcissus feels very well in subalpine and alpine zones of Svydovets ridge, and sometimes forms dense thickets. As a Red Book species, the narcissus is in constant focus of foresters and botanists and is one of the indicator species that help to conduct a qualitative assessment of the environment.
