Employees of the Transcarpathian Regional Library for Children and Youth prepared a number of interesting activities for the International Children’s Day. The celebration of the holiday will begin tomorrow.
May 30
10.20 – charity campaign "Give a child a book" during which workers of the department for pre-school children and students of grades 1-4 will visit the medical and social rehabilitation center "Way of Life" with gifts: books, magazines and sweets (8 Bereznya st., 46);
June 1
10.00 – Exhibition-Fair "Peace in children’s hands", which will showcase the creative works of students of Uzhgorod art school for children (Voloshin st., 20, lobby of the library);
11.00 – festive event "Childhood Country on Earth" (Voloshin st., 20, the department for pre-school children and students of grades 1-4). Employees of the library and children from the summers camp "Sonechko" at the school №20 of Uzhgorod will set off to circumnavigation of the "Entertainment" ocean, during which they will visit many enchanting islands. Namely: "Mother", "Puzzle", "Game" and "Theater" islands;
11.30 – the celebration will continue with the march "We are small – we are for peace" (Voloshin, Korzo streets, Teatralna Sq.);
11.45 – final stop – the "Meeting" island, where children will meet the known Transcarpathian writer Oleksandr Havrosh and his exciting book "Legends of the Silver Rus" (Fentsyk park near the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic). The meeting will take place within the socio-cultural project "All Transcarpathia reads to children";
13.00 – Presentation of the book "Stories and Storytellers" by Oleksandr Havrosh for students of the Transcarpathian Institute for Postgraduate Education and all comers (Teatralny lane 9, youth service department).
