Traditionally, on May Day, the bograch cooking championship took place in Kosyno.
This year, the festival was held for the fifth time, it is traditionally international – teams from Hungary take part in it along with local teams, – Ivan Fera, the manager of the Kosyno resort said.
– This year, we have 7 teams – Ivan said – one of which came from Hungary. Our conditions for participation remain the same – the team must consist of 4 people, be dressed in Hungarian national or themed outfits, cook at the championship no less than 100 liters of bograch.
Bograch was rated by several criteria. Those are the appearance of the team and dishes (color, presence of whole vegetables, herb decoration), taste, aftertaste, and serving. By the way, the team that won the Audience Award at the championship served the bograch goulash in a bread. More than 4000 festival visitors gave them the majority of votes, and the jury – a cash prize of 15,000 UAH.
The winners at this year’s bograch festival were the team from the village of Kosyno – their bograch goulash was recognized the most delicious by all the aforementioned criteria. The team from the village of Rafaylovo ranked the second, and Hungarians from the city of Oroshaza won the third prize.
The contestants received cash prizes – 25, 15 and 10 thousand hryvnia, respectively, the UKRINFORM correspondent reports.
