Three cars collided near Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

The police are establishing the circumstances of the car crash, in which three cars collided and four people were injured.

Yesterday, April 30, about 23.00, patrol police officers reported that at the entrance to Uzhgorod, an accident involving an "Audi", a "Volkswagen Caddy" and a "BMW" had occurred. The investigative team at the scene found out that the driver of the "BMW" was driving from the village of Barvinok to the regional center of Transcarpathia. On the ring-road, the car "Audi" drove from the bypass road and did not make way to the "BMW", resulting in the collision. After that, the car, that had violated the traffic rules, turned around due to impact and hit the "Volkswagen Caddy" which was driving by. As a result of the accident, the driver and two passengers of the "Volkswagen" and a passenger of the "Audi" got injured. All victims were discharged home after receiving medical care. The cars were taken to the impound lot of Uzhgorod Police Department. All drivers were tested for the state of intoxication, they were sober.

The preliminary classification of the incident is under part 1 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code, that is violation of the traffic rules, which resulted in injuries of moderate severity. This offense is punishable by a fine of up to one hundred untaxed minimum incomes, or correctional labor for up to two years, or arrest for up to six months or imprisonment for up to three years with or without deprivation of the right to drive vehicles up to three years.
