A new mini-sculpture has appeared in Transcarpathia

The frog resembling the character of the Muppet show has settled in the center of Perechyn (this is the first public mini-sculpture in the city).
Made by sculptor Mykhailo Kolodko, established with the assistance of Mykhailo Barnyk together with blacksmith Vasyl Kryvanych and tourism expert Fedir Shandor
It reminds about the delicious gastronomic story of frogs’ legs from Turya-Remety.

"The monument to the frog was unveiled in the city where they are eaten," – Fedir Shandor announced on Facebook.

And added a bit of history: "… the tradition of eating frogs’ legs emerged in Perechyn district in the first half of the 19th century when captured soldiers of the Napoleon’s French army were staying there."
