Transcarpathian customs officers seized a “TOYOTA” and a “LAND ROVER”

On April 12, the Transcarpathian customs office received official responses from notaries confirming the doubts of customs officers on the validity of authorizations for the use of vehicles.

Two Polish registered vehicles – 1997 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER and 1999 LAND ROVER FREELANDER – arrived at the customs post "Uzhgorod" of the Transcarpathian customs office on April 9 this year. The vehicles were driven by two female citizens of Ukraine.

The citizens presented certificates of registration and authorizations for the use of the vehicles certified by the signature and the seal of the same notary.

In order to establish the validity of the documents, customs officials sent requests to the notary who confirmed the customs officers’ doubts.

Thus, the citizens of Ukraine moved across the customs border of Ukraine the vehicles concealed from customs control, by submitting the customs authority of Ukraine a forged document.

These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Currently, the reports on violation of customs regulations were made, the cars worth over 140,000 UAH were seized.
