There’s the first one! Sakuras in Uzhgorod are already blooming! (Photofact)

The holiday is coming!

On Dovzhenko street, the first sakura flowers are blooming.

It is especially pleasing that those are the old trees, which were the first to make Uzhgorod famous as the Ukrainian city of sakura. 

Usually, the sakuras on Mytna street are the first to blossom. Those trees are slightly younger, different species than those in the center, planted by Czech biologists, and the street is lit better. But this year, the warm weather forced some of the main sakuras of the city to start their holiday earlier. Therefore, in the coming days, we can expect a flowering "explosion." The peak of blossoming is expected in mid-April. Of course, the weather can still make its adjustments. As for the beautiful Uzhgorod magnolias, some of them are already blooming, and some are just about to.
