Transcarpathian “Bears” will celebrate the Volunteer Day at the “family” holiday with a record and even the “Oscar” (Announcement)

Opening of the thematic exhibition, a "bear" record, presentation of the collection of chevrons, presentation of awards, making of a camouflage net, and other surprises, and most importantly – a nice get together. This format of the Volunteer Day is introduced by the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers, also known as "Transcarpathian "Bears"."

December 5 is the International Volunteer Day. Although this holiday has been celebrated in the world for quite a while, in Ukraine this day has become especially significant mostly with the beginning of the Russian-terrorist military aggression. It is particularly symbolic that the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is celebrated the next day – December 6, and the soldiers are now main recipients of help from Ukrainian volunteers – these two friendly communities together bring our victory closer.

This year, the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers organized 16 thematic campaigns. These events, where they were cooking, selling books, toys, clothes, souvenirs and drawing the lottery, brought 132,756 UAH to the volunteer box. The funds were used for the needs of the front and for humanitarian purposes – including help to the wounded soldiers.
