Transcarpathia is larger than over 40 countries. Those include such well-known states, as Andorra, Vatican City, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, San Marino, Bahrain, Brunei, Qatar, Cyprus, Lebanon, Singapore, Gambia, Jamaica, Bahamas.
Transcarpathian region is inhabited by 70 nationalities.
Tyachiv district is the most populated district of Ukraine. Its population is about 165 thousand people, the zak.depo.ua writes.
The longest village of Transcarpathia is Nyzhniy Studeny in Mizhhirya district. Its length is about 18 km.
The maximum width of the region (along straight line) from north to south is 100 kilometers. The maximum length (along straight line) from east to west is about 200 kilometers.

The village of Velyka Kopanya in Vynogradiv district is the capital of twins. There are more than six dozen pairs of twins in this village, although the population of the village is less than 4,000 inhabitants.
The most high-altitude city in Ukraine is Rakhiv. It is located at an altitude of 820 meters above sea level. Rakhiv holds another record – the largest vertical drop between the streets – 600 meters from the lowest (400 m) to the highest (1000 m).
The longest railway tunnel in Ukraine was built and is located on the stretch Skotarske – Beskid. Its length is 1747 m. The tunnel was built back in 1887 and has been renovated several times.
The most snowy settlement is the village of Ruska Mokra in Transcarpathia – snow cover remains there on average of 110 days a year. This is due to the location of the village between mountain ranges that close the territory of the village from direct sunlight.
The linden alley in Uzhgorod is 2200 meters long and is the longest not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe.
"Pearl cave". 2.5 km away from the Mala Uholka river, there is a karst cave formed in Jurassic limestone. Besides stalactites, there are numerous tiff balls on the walls, that shine like pearls, hence the name of the cave.
The Irshavka river first flows to the west, then gradually turns to the south and southeast, and then again gradually to the west, forming a giant letter "S".
In 1770, potato officially appeared in Transcarpathian region.
The highest person of Transcarpathia lives in the village of Velyky Bychkiv in Rakhiv district. Vasyl Kravchuk is 2 meters and 13 centimeters tall.
Trufanets is the highest natural waterfall in Transcarpathia. The height of the waterfall is 36 m. It is located near the road Yasinya-Rakhiv.
1300-years-old Champion Oak and 1000-year-old Grandaddy Oak growing in the village of Stuzhytsya in Velyky Berezny district are nominees of the contest "National Tree of Ukraine." The Champion Oak took third place in the category "The oldest tree of Ukraine."
