On September 9, at 21:09, the hotline 102 received a report of a traffic accident in the suburbs of Tyachiv.
As law enforcement officers found out at the scene, the driver – a 43-year-old local resident – was driving from the village of Bedevlya towards Tyachiv. Driving past the road sign "Tyachiv", he hit a pedestrian who was in the middle of the road.
The 33-year-old resident of the village of Topchyno died on the spot from his injuries.
The test for alcohol content in the driver’s blood showed that the man was sober.
The car was taken to the impound lot of Tyachiv Police Department.
The police are establishing the circumstances of the case.
