In Uzhgorod, a man was rescued during a fire elimination

August 25th, at 16:18, the Rescue Service "101" was reported about a fire on the balcony of an apartment on the fifth floor of a nine-storey house. Crews of the 14th and 15th State Fire and Rescue Units were immediately sent to Mynaiska street where the fire had occured. In total, 5 vehicles and 15 rescuers were engaged.

The firefighters were working quickly and consistently, and did not let the flame spread to the entire apartment. The fire was cotained at 16:45, and completely eliminated at 17:25. In addition, the rescuers took outside a 40-year-old man, resident of the neighboring apartment. Because of a dense smoke in the hallway, he could not do this by hinself.  

The fire destroyed the doors and windows of the apartment and damaged TV set, cabinet and household items.

The total amount of loss and the cause of the fire are being established.
