In Khust district, a girl was poisoned by carbon monoxide (PHOTOS)

On August 24th, at 10:10, the Rescue Service "101" received a report of a fire that had occurred in the village of Boronyavo in Khust district. A street facility (summer kitchen) was burning. A crew of the 10th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Khust (a fire truck and 5 rescuers) were sent to eliminate the fire. 

At the time of their arrival, the street facility was completely covered by fire. Also, due to proximity, the fire began spreading to the owners’ residential house and the neighbor’s house. Already at 10:40, the firefighters contained the fire not letting it destroy residential buildings, and at 13:55 – eliminated it completely. 

The fire destroyed the summer kitchen and household items and also destroyed in the roof over the area of 60 square meters and two living rooms of the residential house. The neighbor’s house was also affected – 10 square meters of the roof was damaged.

At the fire, the daughter of the homeowner got carbon monoxide poisoning. The 19-year-old girl was delivered by an ambulance to Khust Central District Hospital. After providing medical care, the condition of the girl improved, and in the evening the doctors let her go home. 

Probable cause of the fire in the building is a short circuit, but the actual cause will be identified by the police. 

The amount of loss is being established.
