On July 30, the delegation of Luhansk region headed by the head of the Regional State Administration Yuriy Harbuz will visit Transcarpathia.
The delegation also includes village heads, representatives of united communities, district state administrations, city mayors, management of Luhansk region. During the week-long trip from East to West of Ukraine, they will visit merged communities to learn from their experience, to study positive examples of decentralization and share experiences of rural development. Tomorrow is the turn of Transcarpathia.
At the sanatorium "Karpaty" in Mukachevo district, there will be a Forum "Changing the country together! Decentralization: new opportunities." Its participants – representatives of local government of Luhansk and Transcarpathian regions – will be defining promising areas of the delelopment of territories, will discuss the experience of successful projects in Luhansk and Transcarpathian regions, topical issues that need to be addressed, and current requirements to upgrade of the government system.
At 10.45, there will be a press briefing of the heads of Transcarpathian and Luhansk regional state administrations Hennadiy Moskal and Yuriy Harbuz.
The Forum will start at 11.00
Note: the nationwide project "Changing the country together! Decentralization: new opportunities" was launched on July 25. The event was initiated by the head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Yuriy Harbuz and supported by the Swiss-Ukrainian project "Support for Decentralization in Ukraine" DESPRO.
The aim is to study the positive examples of decentralization in Ukraine and the exchange of experiences on rural development during the week-long trip from East to West of Ukraine.
