City Council deputies want to prevent the destruction of a dam near the Bozdosh bridge

The situation at the treated wastewater discharge collector near the Bozdosh bridge in Uzhgorod requires urgent intervention – this was the conclusion of the members of the commission on technogenic and ecological safety and emergencies of the City Council. The unscheduled meeting of the commission, chaired by the Mayor Bogdan Andriyiv, took place on the ground.

If no action is taken immediately, there may be a disaster that will cause flooding of right-side lands of Uzhgorod downstream the "Bozdosh" transport bridge and the destruction of the water protection dam. Therefore, by the decision of the commission, the Department of Municipal Economy was instructed in the shortest terms to appeal to the Tisa River Basin Water Management to develop technical design for the repair of the waterproof dam, and to begin the necessary work immediately after receiving the technical documentation.
