A scientific publication “Donbas and Crimea: the price of return” was presented in Uzhgorod

Today, at the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, there was a presentation of the monograph "Donbas and Crimea: the price of return", which describes the problems of the war in the Donbas and Crimea annexation. The authors of the study are researchers of the National Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Ukraine.
 

The monograph was presented by the Advisor to the Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies, Ph.D. Victor Tsyganov. 
 

"Now that we have a shortage of everything – money, material and technical means, human resources, we also lack an intellectual component – understanding of what is happening in the country and analysis of the situation", – the deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration Oleksandr Petik said addressing the audience and emphasizing on the importance of the publication.
 

During the presentation, they discussed the causes and consequences of temporary loss of control over certain territories of Ukraine, Russia’s armed aggression and solutions of these problems, the role of the international community in the context of the events in Ukraine.
 

In the scientific publication "Donbas and Crimea: the price of return", researchers studied the problems of the war in the east and the annexation of its territory.  The authors also analyzed the causes and consequences of temporary loss of control over certain territories of Ukraine. The book also substantiates the position of Ukraine and highlights approaches of the EU and Russia to resolve the situation in the Donbas in the Minsk process.

The conditions of reintegration and priorities of the restoration of Donbass are defined. In addition, the publication outlines ways of addressing the social consequences of the military aggression of Russia against Ukraine. The forecasts of developments around the Donbas and the Crimea are made.
   

    In the near future, the publication will be presented in Bratislava, Budapest, Prague and Riga.
