A tender for the right to clean up the city will be held in Uzhgorod

New cleaners in Uzhgorod will have to undergo a trial period. This was reported by the press service of Uzhgorod City Council.

At the meeting with managers and representatives of utilities and housing offices the Mayor Bogdan Andriyiv once again pointed the unsatisfactory quality of cleaning in the city.

"I can not explain to people why parks and streets are dirty, while you all claim that they are cleaned, – Bogdan Andriyiv said. – On March 17, there will be a tender after which the companies responsible for cleaning will be known. However, before the decision is taken, each tenderer should demonstrate how they are going to clean (the equipment) and who will be doing it (human resource) so that we could see their real capability. We will enter into a contract with the winners of the tender which will provide for a trial period during which we will assess the quality of work. If they do not comply, we will terminate the contract. The city must be clean."

According to the acting head of the Department of Municipal Economy Oksana Paida, after the tender, the city center will be cleaned daily. She also reminded the tender conditions, and those are: the company must have equipment and similar contracts for the previous period, must have no taxes and wages debts.

Already on April 1, the tender winners must show improvements in the sanitary maintenance of the city and garbage collection.
