By the joint resolution of Hennadiy Moskal and Mykhailo Rivis, Wilhelm Pap – famous musician, composer, manager of the Roma children ensemble "Lautari" of the Transcarpathian Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity "Padiyun," the executive director of the Society of Musical Culture of Transcarpathian Roma "Lautari", Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine – was awarded with the medal "For development of Transcarpathia".
On January 11, the Regional Council chairman Mykhailo Rivis personally presented this high award to Wilhelm Pap and noted the composer’s personal contribution to the development of music the region, the promotion of cultural heritage of national minorities and the 20th anniversary of the creative career of the jazz ensemble "Pap-Jazz Quartet." And he wished him success and victories in new festivals.
The composer thanked the regional government for the support of the ensemble, which has become the laureate of many musical forums in the country and abroad, and promised to continue this tradition in the name of blessed memory of outstanding Transcarpathian Roma jazz musician, the founder of the popular jazz festival in the region, public figure Vilmos Pap, who had prematurely passed away.
