Three people were injuried in the “frontal” accident on the highway Kyiv-Chop, cars are smashed into smithereens (PHOTOS)

"Holiday" roads in Transcarpathia continue to be a place of accidents. Thus, a car burned down and three people were injured in an accident between Uzhgorod and Mukachevo, the patrol police in Transcarpathia informs.

Yesterday in the evening, on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Ivanivtsi, two cars – BMW 520 and Lada Priora – collided. A patrol police crew immediately arrived at the scene.

The policemen called an ambulance and firefighters and helped to pull the victims out of the cars. One of the cars (BMW) was swept off the road and it caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire, but the car was damaged beyond repair.

The BMW driver with an open leg fracture and a closed fracture of the arm was taken to the Central Hospital of Mukachevo, another driver with a chest contusion and a fractured leg also was taken to hospital. The investigators are establishing the causes of the accident.
