Transcarpathia is one of the few regions of Ukraine, where there is no natural population decline. So all sorts of conversation, speculation and gossip that allegedly in 2016 the number of hospital beds will be reduced and some undermanned schools will be closed are ungrounded. The education and medical subsidies, which are provided for in the State Budget of Ukraine for Transcarpathian region, are quite sufficient to ensure operation of all medical facilities and educational institutions of different levels.
This was stated on Monday, at the meeting of the head of the Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal and the chairman of the regional professional council Volodymyr Flenko.
– If anybody is for various reasons (political, personal or corporate) dissatisfied with the adoption of the state budget 2016, they have every right to organize a protest in front of the Parliament. – H. Moskal said. – Or express their dissatisfaction about the MPs from Transcarpathia all of whom voted for the adoption of the budget. The Transcarpathian Regional State Administration has nothing to do with the adoption of the budget for 2016. Our position remains unchanged – there will be no reduction or optimization of medical and educational institutions in the region. In 2015, in some districts, medical and educational subsidies were completely spent in September and October. But, thanks to my visits to the Cabinet, both areas were financed in full. The same will be in 2016.
