A citizen of Ukraine was coming back home from Hungary. To make some money, the Ukrainian concealed from customs control in his vehicle seeds of peppers, tomatoes and pesticides worth 83,677 UAH.
The citizen was crossing the border yesterday, November 3, 2015, at the checkpoint "Vylok" of the Transcarpathian customs office. He drove to the customs post by a minivan "VW Transporter" with Ukrainian registration. Another 8 citizens of Ukraine were riding in the van together with the driver.
Based on Part 1 of Article 339 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, during the customs control, the vehicle was taken out of the general flow for in-depth inspection.
Before the inspection, the citizen of Ukraine said that he was carrying unicycle carts, which he and his passengers had bought in Hungary. But, besides the carts, Transcarpathian customs officers found hidden 20 packages of pepper seed Brillant F1, 40 packages of cucumbers Kubria RZ, various kinds of pesticides.
The driver said that the goods hidden from customs control belonged to him and that he had bought them in Hungary at the market. He wanted to sell some of them and use the rest for his own needs.
These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the report on violation of customs rules has been drawn up, according to Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, the goods being the direct objects of customs regulations violation were seized.
