Yesterday, border guards of the Chop detachment found another batch of contraband cigarettes in a passenger train. During the inspection of a car "Kyiv – Bratislava", experts using a flexible endoscope found cigarettes "MarlboroGold" in one of the compartments. The cigarettes were hidden in a luggage storage space under the lower seat. Also, the contraband was found behind a metal plating under the sink.
They were hidden there by an Israeli citizen travelling to Budapest. For the cigarettes hidden from the border and customs control, a report on administrative violation was drawn up and a fine was imposed on the Israeli.
The total cost of the seized tobacco products is 9,680 hryvnia. Border guards handed over all four hundred forty packs of cigarettes to employees of the Fiscal Service.
