Black PR, sleaze war and mining – this is the elections in Transcarpathian (opinion)

The head of the Transcarpathian center of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine Dmytro Tuzhansky during the special project "Elected" said that on the eve of the voting day, there is aggravation of political struggle throughout the region.

"It is in the regional center where observers of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine record the largest amount of black PR in the form of incrimating audio or video evidence, documents or confessions of third parties. All this is made public in the media, mainly electronic and printed. One of the pecularities of the finishing phase of the campaign in Uzhgorod is fake mining of parties’ election offices", – Tuzhansky informs.

According to him, the theme of vote-buying in the last week also has come to the fore.

"But no real evidence of voter bribery attempts has been presented, except for reports of "eyewitnesses", mainly in social networks. Therefore, just like at the start of the election campaign, when whole lists of people, who were allegedly engaged in bribery of voters in Transcarpathia, were made public, at its finish this topic turns into electoral trick that is exploited by political forces. We expect that on the election day, reports of vote buying will be coming every hour," – he said.
