In the area of responsibility of the department "Horonhlab" of the Mukachevo border guard detachment, 50 meters from the state border of Ukraine, a mobile squad "Mukachevo" detained three citizens of Ukraine and 37 boxes of contraband cigarettes.
During the arrest of the offenders, border patrol was forced to use weapons, namely make warning shots in the air to stop violations at the state border.
The detainees were citizens of Ukraine, residents of Beregovo district in Transcarpathian region.
The found cigarettes were delivered to the Department of the Border Guard Service "Horonhlab."
The further fate of the detained citizens of Ukraine and the seized contraband cigarettes will be decided by court.
