Three vehicles under one document: a high-profile prevention of a customs violation

A citizen of Ukraine tried to move across the customs border of Ukraine a minibus "PEUGEOT BOXER" made in 2003, with Ukrainian registration, concealed from customs control.

October 1, at 4:00, the Ukrainian drove into the zone of customs control at the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian customs office. He decided to cross the customs border through the "green corridor" and submitted a certificate of registration of the vehicle with registration authorities in Ukraine. As expected, the color, brand of the vehicle, type and size of engine, as well as the number of the body were indicated in the document.

The customs officials, based on the results of analysis and risk assessment, took the vehicle out of the general flow for customs inspection.

During the customs formalities, the conducted analytical and verification measures using available databases. As a result, it was found out that besides the "PEUGEOT BOXER", three more vehicles were moved across the customs border under the same number of the body.

During the customs inspection, it was found out that the body number applied on the vehicle presented for customs control matches the number of the body indicated in the certificate of registration of the vehicle submitted to the customs officers.

Transcarpathian customs office sent a request to the traffic police office in Transcarpathian region. They responded that, according to the national database, as of October 1, 2015, the car "PEUGEOT BOXER" made in 2003 is not registered with traffic police authorities.

Currently, the minibus "PEGEOT BOXER" made in 2003, worth over UAH 117 thousand has been confiscated.
